A Tolkien Inspired Wedding on Orcas Island

Into the woods. Mysterious, dreamy and Narnia influenced, this couple wanted to create a wedding that felt like a scene from one of their favorite Tolkien novels. This private property on an island lacked running water, electricity and enough accommodations for this destination wedding, and so we created a venue from scratch. From raising a tent onto a custom built platform that leveled the ground, to building out an entire yurt village to create accommodations for more than 200 guests, to folding and then hanging 5,000 cranes to fly above the reception, this wedding was a joy to create and pushed us to really know the extent of what we were capable of.
