As a kid I always looked forward to Valentine’s Day. I was so excited to give out cards and the homemade treats my mom had lovingly baked. I would anxiously await the moment my dad would come home with a huge heart shaped box of chocolates and flowers for my mom. I loved seeing their love for each other. It made me feel safe and secure, but it also made me dream about finding my own love someday.
It took 30 years, but I found my true Valentine. I am my beloveds’ and my beloved is mine. That is a love worth celebrating every day of the year, but why not go big on a playful day specifically set aside to show your one just how much you love them?
Huge balloons…. oversized bakery boxes filled with treats…. an enormous bouquet… why not? It’s a visual way to communicate what I believe are the fundamental pillars of our relationship:
Love abundantly, dream big and live lightheartedly.
