Gingerbread cookies are a family favorite around Christmastime. Our kids love to help roll out the dough and choose which shapes we make each year. They’re the perfect cookie for cookie decorating parties and are loved by kids and adults alike.

I love this recipe because it works well if you like your gingerbread cookies soft and chewy or more on the crisp side. Simply bake them longer if you prefer a crisper cookie.
