This year we hosted seven workshops. People from all over the world came to learn underneath a canopy of chandeliers in our flower filled studio, as we taught how we do what we do. We worked together to create 5 detailed photo shoots, 3 dinner parties, 2 beautiful real weddings, and lots and lots of gorgeous flower arrangements.
Something deeper and more profound happened at each workshop, and the learning went beyond the mechanics of arranging flowers and designing events. Don’t get me wrong… we spent a lot of time working on flowers. It’s just as we worked, we were able to have conversations that were more significant in meaning. We talked through our hopes, fears, dreams, what’s holding us back and where we ultimately want to go in life. People were vulnerable, opened up and I watched a transformation take place right before my eyes.
Our workshops have become a retreat for people that want to feel re-inspired. Many people come feeling burnt out, uninspired, stuck and discouraged, but they leave believing in the beauty of their dreams. Yes, we will show you how we create our signature lush style, teach you how we put an event together, give you the list of all of our sources, talk strategic business planning and answer any question you might have. But we will do more than that. We will listen to your story. We will care about who you are as a person. We will hear your dreams, and then equip and empower you to have the confidence to believe those dreams can come to fruition. This is the heart and purpose behind our workshops.

The Art of Floral Design
This is a hands on, action packed workshop created for the individual who wants to focus on floral design, and learn how to create beautiful arrangements. We will instruct on how to order and care for flowers in addition to teaching the mechanics behind how we build our signature lush and organic centerpieces, bouquets and arrangements. We will fill the studio with a sea of the freshest seasonal flowers available and spend each day doing hands on learning. We will also discuss sourcing beautiful product, ribbons, fabrics, vases, supplies and other materials. Additionally, each workshop will also talk through business strategy and how to grow your business through branding, social media and published work so you can land your ideal client and increase your revenue. Students will walk away with images of their work for portfolio and promotional use.
The Elements of Event Design
A beautifully designed event goes beyond a pretty flower centerpiece, and involves layers of textures and elements to make that event come to life. We will explore all of those elements and reveal the steps we take to design a cohesive event from start to finish. Each student will have hands on experience with building centerpieces, bouquets and large scale event installations. Students will be divided into teams and will work together within that team to create a distinctive photo shoot that incorporates the different layers of event design. The photos from this photo shoot can be used to create a website, high end branding and a showcase portfolio. We will also discuss sourcing beautiful product, ribbons, fabrics, vases, supplies and other materials. Additionally, we will talk through business strategy and how to grow your business through branding, social media and published work so you can land your ideal client and increase your revenue.

Real Wedding Workshop
This experience is for anyone who wants to go behind the scenes and be part of putting a real Sinclair & Moore wedding together. I will be teaching the different elements of event design, in addition to how we create our signature lush floral arrangements. Each student will have hands on experience with building centerpieces, bouquets and large scale event installations. Those arrangements will then be taken to the real wedding and we will work together as a team to install all of the design details, making the day extra special for a real couple. The photos from this wedding can be used to create a website, high end branding and a showcase portfolio. We will also discuss sourcing beautiful product, ribbons, fabrics, vases, supplies and other materials. Additionally, we will also talk through business strategy and how to grow your business through branding, social media and published work so you can land your ideal client and increase your revenue.
Our doors are open to everyone. No experience is necessary! We have people of all ages, beliefs and backgrounds that come together over the common goal of learning from each other while creating something beautiful. We will make our studio a warm, inviting and safe place for you to create. If you are an experienced designer we will work with you to build on the skill-set you already have. If you have never touched flowers before in your life, that’s ok! We’ll teach you everything you need to know and you’ll walk away designing like a pro!

Investment
Through December 12th we are offering early bird pricing, and workshops are priced at a discounted rate from our standard workshop pricing. The Art of Floral Design and Real Wedding Workshops will be offered at $2,750. The Elements of Event Design Workshop will be offered at $3,500. This workshop is more expensive because of the additional costs of the extensive photo shoots we will be putting together. You will have the option to pay in full at the time of registration or you can choose the payment plan by reserving your seat with a $750 deposit for the Floral Design and Real Wedding workshops, and a $1,500 deposit for the Event Design Workshop. The remaining balance for all workshops will then be paid in two $1,000 installments before the start of workshop.
After December 12th, the cost of each workshop will increase by $250. Early registration is advised!
Scholarships
We are offering 4 scholarships this year; 1 scholarship for each of the floral design and real wedding workshops. We are simplifying the application process this year, and submissions will be entered through an Instagram post. Make sure to check my Instagram account on Friday November 11th for all of the details! Submissions will be accepted from Friday November 11th through Tuesday November 15th, and recipients will be announced on the evening of November 16th.
Registration
Registration for our workshops will open on Thursday morning, November 17th! We keep our workshops small and intimate, so we are encouraging early registration.
