Katie and Phil- Vintage Vogue

Katie and Phil were a dream to work with. Their complete trust in our ability to take their vision and run with it set us free to create this vintage-mod wedding. We were inspired by vintage Vogue, and combined the refinement of 1950’s Dior with the simplicity of Jackie Kennedy’s iconic style to create a design that intersected sophisticated, couture design with modern angles and clean lines. We softened everything up with a touch of classic romantic detailing.

This wedding was simple, yet lush; classic yet modern. Most importantly, it was a reflection of our client  her love of timeless style. There were so many subtle details that could be easy to miss, but I love the intention and confidence behind the understated touches. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, and will always be grateful for the experience of working with such an amazing couple.

Kate and AJ- Bloedel Reserve

Most of the planning meetings with Kate and AJ were spent laughing. These two love life and love to have fun… their wedding was just an extension of this. Hosted at the beautiful Bloedel Reserve, this wedding combined classic timeless detailing along with some modern touches. Lush flowers were abundantly infused throughout the entire celebration- which was a challenge to keep fresh in the hot direct sunlight! It was a beautiful celebration and such a fun party to watch unfold.

Anbrit and Jon

The Corson Building  has always been a favorite venue for me.  I love how it feels like a magical spot in Italy, yet it is just minutes from downtown Seattle. It is such a gem. When Anbrit and Jon, a witty, sophisticated and thoughtful couple who love good food, chose this as their venue, I was thrilled to say the least. With the help of ABC Rentals, we tented the gravel alley between the venue and an apartment building and set up a long and narrow table for all 100 guests to sit and dine at.  With the O’Malleys as the photographers and Tallant House creating the desserts, it was the perfect recipe for a dream wedding.  Vibrant summer peaches, fragrant  garden roses, rustic loaves of bread, candles in crystal candlesticks (not to mention a lamb from a local petting zoo that I adorned with flowers) were the finishing touches that made this one of our weddings I’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to my good friends Nancy from Oak and the Owl and Melanie from Melanie Benson Floral Design for assisting me with the flower arrangements for this wedding!  We created so many centerpieces that week, and I couldn’t have done it by myself!  Thankful for friends who are always willing to step in and be part of our events.
